Creative Critical Reflection

Reflection

When creating my magazine one of the most fundamental aspects of creating one would be to have aniconic masthead. A masthead that pops with its letters and colors associated with it. After viewing ten different presentations I realized that each had its own iconic masthead. From national geographic to Sports Illustrated they all had a masthead that could be noticed from a mile away. The only magazine that used its masthead differently between each issue was ESPN. The reason for that was because ESPN Is such a recognizable brand and magazine that they can work with their mast head freely due to the fact that everyone is aware of ESPN.

Also the content within each magazine cover is essential. To start of the colors that are chosen have to represent the material within the magazine. For example, in a sports magazine the colors chose for the masthead should match the colors for the particular team that the magazine is using. Now that is very simple but in some cases the content towards the middle of the magazine can be very elaborate. For example you can focus on certain images while keep the background blurry to show emphasize on that specific image.

When speaking on the voice over there is a plethora of different issues and possibilities of improvement can be mentioned. To begin with a voice over should be read a slow pace as when a reader reads too fast it becomes very difficult for the person watching the presentation to follow along. In addition, the reader should not read off the PowerPoint word for word as that can make the presentation very bland and boring. The audio quality must also be clear and understandable so a proper microphone should be used
